Full of Suprises

This morning I checked my email. I got an invite from someone from back home on Facebook. To me it was kind of a shock because we never had a full blown conversation EVER. The only thing we had in common was this particular guy in high school. We were both seeing him at some point in time. Eventually those two got married. The guy and I went to high school together. The young lady was from another town in the area who I eventually had heard about. All this happened at least 15 years ago.

Now I get an invite from her. I did accept it, but it still was strange to me. Since that era in time, I have seen the guy about 3 times, and had spoken to him at least that much, you know "hey" or "what's up", something of that nature, but not any phone conversations of the sort. The young lady, like I said I have never had a conversation with her. I have let the past be just that, the past. Maybe she just want me to be her friend for networking purposes, which is fine. I don't expect to have a long-time-no- see-let's catch up at lunch conversation either. I will have to go with the flow I guess. There is nothing else going on today that has any types of sparks.

I left my cell phone at home this morning by mistake. That really irked me and I did not want to go back to get it. I text my friend Keith during the day to see how he is doing. I had been thinking about him last night and I miss him at times. I may call him for about two minutes while I am at work. Until then...

Back in Action

After three weeks of not going out to any motorcycle club parties, I am getting ready to kick off the upcoming weekend with one. I needed the break from the motorcycle club scene just for a little while. Most of the members of my bike club go out every weekend to support other area motorcycle clubs at parties, bike shows, church gatherings, community cookouts, back to school drives, family and friends day, and there is so much more. To me, it is an entertainment world within itself. Most people are in bike clubs and social clubs because they enjoy riding and they enjoy supporting each other. Some functions are low key, where there are some which are just A-list. For me it's a great experience.

There are two clubs that are having functions this weekend. No Limit Riders of Jenkinsville is having their annual car and bike show at Lake Monticello Park. This is one of the biggest car and bike shows in the metro that is held by a bike club. The other function is being held by the Atomic Dogs of Aiken, SC. They are having their anniversary cookout and party (which is an all day event too) all you can eat food and drink from 12 pm-2am. It is something to look forward to for sure.

Other than that, nothing much is going on. I just wanted to write something in here, just to put out what I am thinking about at this point.
